Alfonso Residence / South Miami, Florida

This project reimagines an approximately 3,000 sq. ft. 1960s Florida ranch house as a contemporary tropical modern residence; located in South Miami. While maintaining the home’s original low horizontal character, the renovation leaves the existing structure largely intact, focusing on a restrained set of facade interventions. The original window openings were modified into more vertical proportions, giving the elevation a cleaner architectural rhythm, while a bronze metal entry screen was introduced to add depth, shade, and privacy. A sandstone-colored exterior palette and white travertine stone accents bring warmth, texture, and a more refined material presence to the facade.
